Just when you think, it won’t happen to me; we have earthquakes in our area. We can only hope that our houses and retaining walls will be up to the job. Earthquakes are probably not our biggest risk, heavy rainfall is a much higher risk, and while I can’t guarantee against earthquakes I can deal with the heavy rain with the right construction and the correct drainage.
